December 13, 2009 is when I first published a video about the World Yacht Racing Forum. It was the first event, staged in Monaco, and it was around the time that Oman was using sailing to promote its tourism industry.
Pilote Media has made a few forays into the world of yachting and marine content including Yachtracing.biz and the Yacht Business Podcast and now, we are embarking on a new project - to promote the marine lifestyle starting in the UAE.
Coasting (Working Title) is a 12-part documentary series that dives into the Emirates' deep connection with the sea, from ancient pearl diving traditions to cutting-edge superyacht marinas. Whether you're a water sports enthusiast, a history buff, or simply curious about coastal living, Coasting reveals the stories, people, and innovations that make the UAE's relationship with the sea truly extraordinary.
